Nigeria has produced outstanding song stars, of which so many of the them are bred from the South side of the country, I’m talking about the likes of Burna Boy,Iyanya, Sunny Neji, Tha Suspect, Silver, name them and the Nigerian music business gets larger by the day and while the song stars get all the glory, a lot of commendation should also be accredited to the people behind the production board.
At this point here’s my own brief highlight on ten of the hottest music producers in South side of Nigeria right now…
LERIQ – All the way from Port Harcourt, Leriq has always been there making hits before he was sign to Aristocraft as Burna Boy’s official producer, crafting most of the tracks in the Burna Boy’s L.I.F.E album

Duncan Mighty – If you are a fan of Nigerian music, then the Port Harcourt first son is no news, a very big music producer in the country though he produces for only himself as an artiste and sometimes tracks he featured

AKEM D BEAT – Akeem Adenijl popularly known as Akeem da beat , Ogund state born, Port Harcourt based producer and also a singer, Has always been there all this years working with top artist like Timaya with the song “Cutlass” and some other songs. He also worked with the likes of Doncan Mighty, Maxi, Chimony and Julius Agwu just a few. Rright now he still produces some of the hit songs you hear coming out of the south with one of the best recording studios in the south South.
UGO DRUMZ - real Name is Ugochukwu Jonah. Hail from Rivers state, Ugodrumz is a music producer, music artiste, sound engineer, and an instrumentalist. He produces different kind of Music. Afro, Hip Hop, R&B, Zouk, Reggae, African contemporary and lots more… He has worked with some personalities in the industry like Mkaze, Quest, Kelly-Handsome, Blah, Kim Wonder, Frank D Nero, Dj Lecture and he the trending song ‘Na So (Show Mi How To Fish)‘ by Bukwild Da Ikweerian which is on the hottest tune around now, produced most of the tracks in the fourth coming album of mkaze(yet to be released)

Teego: One of the most prolific Producer/Singer. One may not be able to count one to seven hits from the Calabar-Uyo axis without having a track from the list linked to Teego's Production. One of Cali's finest. ff @teegobeat
GyC -GyC is a Calabar base producer, song writer, graphics editor and the C.E.O of REAP ZONE RECORDS. He was born and brought up in Enugu and he has been in the musical business for about 13yrs now, he is so famous for his hit single, KADUGOLE.The list continues with a brand new HIT from him titled Simbi, currently climbing charts in the south of Naija. Not yet done, he is still working in the studio doing new productions with undisclosed top artistes..

Henry Harmony – Tony Harmony is another creative producer who has been making hit I sight him from Waconzy Ikebe Super he then moved graduated by working with J-Martins Iva
BARD BISHOP – Bard Bishop is an Akwa Ibom state producer who has made a name for himself at home, having produced the popular hit single for Mish “Akwa-Ibom Ayaya”, and most of the hits coming out of the Akwa Ibom such as “Every Woman is Beautiful” & “A little” by Mish “Idara” by Darlene, he is rated one of the best producer in his state
SAMMY – Just one of Nigeria’s new tops, hails from Cross River and is partly from Rivers state. Born in Calabar, and grew up in Lagos City, he is another music producer/sound engineer with versatility when it comes to instrument, who has worked with the likes of Iyanya, Flavor, and was one time official Producer for Iyanya.

SILVER: Not popular by name, but legendary in productions. The fingers behind some major productions from International boy records. A prodigee of Leriq, Grew up in Portharcourt where he worked with Ijaw boys Entertainment and as such, a lot of Portharcourt based acts such as burna Boy, Mkaze, Tublack, Mr. Robinson and a host of others.
